Choices In Children Costumes
from:There are a lot of choices you can make when purchasing children costumes. Within each category of children costumes are lots of different selections. Your child will probably want to be included in this process. It is better to plan ahead and order online from a place that will have the children costumes you will like than to shop at the last minute at Wal Mart.
Price varies widely with children costumes. Some children costumes cost as little as ten dollars. Others can cost as much as eighty dollars. It is a good idea to decide on an acceptable price range prior to visiting the website with your child. I spent more than I wanted to on a bunting costume for my son when he was an infant. He was the cutest little bunny I had ever seen.
There are a lot of classic children costumes to choose from for both boys and girls. The classic children costumes for boys include pirates, cowboys, ninjas and clowns. The classic children costumes for girls include mermaids, fairy princesses, angels and cheerleaders. These children costumes are classics because children continue to be inspired by them.
Disney children costumes are a huge part of the market these days. Disney has been magical for so many children and it is irresistible to some to dress up as their favorite character. Each Disney movie seems to provide a lot of inspiration for children costumes. It isn’t just the older movies that kids are dressing up as the characters from, the new movies like Toy Store and Monsters Inc are in on the action.
Historical children costumes are really only used for Independence Day celebrations around America. Some small towns still have parades on the Fourth of July where children are dressed as colonists. I’ve seen some extremely patriotic children costumes emerging over the last few years. I’ve seen girls dressed as Betsy Ross or the Statue of Liberty. It is really quite cute.
Science Fiction children costumes take up a big share of the costume market. Kids that love the Star Wars movie may also enjoy dressing as Darth Vader or even Yoda. Girls have the option of dressing as Princess Leia and being a science fiction princess.
A lot of kids still pick superhero costumes when they buy their children costumes for Halloween. There are a lot of them to choose from. Batman, Superman and Spider-Man are just a drop in the bucket these days. These days Power Rangers, Teen Titans and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles run right with the standard superheroes for sales.
